About
My name is
Christopher Williams
I am proud to be running for Valencia County Commissioner, District 1.
My family and I chose Los Lunas in 2020 because of the strong values, sense of community, and opportunity this area represents. It’s a place where families matter, neighbors look out for one another, and the future is worth protecting. Since moving here, Los Lunas has truly become home.
I am a 23-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force National Guard, where I built my career around leadership, preparedness, and service. Professionally, I serve as an Emergency Planner, working to ensure our communities are ready to respond, recover, and thrive in times of challenge. That experience has taught me the importance of accountability, planning ahead, and making decisions that put people first.
My faith is a cornerstone of who I am. It shapes my values, strengthens my commitment to integrity, and guides my desire to serve others with humility and purpose. I believe leadership is a calling to serve, not to be served, and that belief influences every decision I make.
Beyond my professional life, I am deeply invested in our community. I have served as a Ward Vice Chair, teach U.S. Constitution and leadership classes, serve on the UNM Valencia Advisory Board, and mentor youth and families through church and community involvement. Service has never been a title for me — it is a responsibility.
I am running for County Commissioner because I believe local leadership matters. With proven experience, strong values, and a commitment to responsible growth, fiscal accountability, public safety, and transparency, I am ready to serve District 1 with integrity.
Together, we can build a stronger, safer, and more opportunity-filled future for Los Lunas and Valencia County.

My Values

Supporting Our Military
As a 23-year veteran, I understand firsthand the sacrifice, discipline, and commitment that military service requires. The military is important to me because it represents service before self, leadership, and a deep respect for our freedoms. Our service members and veterans deserve strong support, clear leadership, and a community that honors their dedication—not just with words, but with action and respect every day.

Family
Family is important to me because it is the foundation of strong communities. Our values, work ethic, faith, and sense of responsibility are first learned at home, and those lessons shape the kind of neighbors and citizens we become. When we support families, we strengthen our community as a whole—creating safer neighborhoods, better opportunities for our children, and a future rooted in respect, accountability, and care for one another.

Volunteering
Volunteering with our youth and teaching them matters deeply to me because they are the future of our community. Investing time in our young people helps build confidence, character, and a strong sense of purpose. When we guide, mentor, and encourage them, we’re not just shaping individual lives—we’re building responsible leaders, strengthening families, and ensuring our community continues to grow with integrity and hope.
